My lazy Sunday

I have two books to show you the first one is Playful Patchwork by Suzuko Koseki I love this book because it is a hands on book with lots of diagrams and colourful pictures, it's a must for anyone who likes to do hand work.

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

This is the block I have made,

I am mostly a machine quilter this is my first time at turned appliqué I am pleased with the result, I will just use it as a mug rug.
The next book is called Zakka sewing by Therse Laskey + Chika Mori this is a book of small gifts made in the Zakka style which is my favourite .

I did intend to post this blog yesterday but somehow I got side tracked I must show you my latest bag i made yesterday from Japanese fabric which I posted earlier it was a gift from a dear friend.

This bag is made in the style of an Indian basket I expect you know what I mean they are more round, it has an oval base with four sections and darts to give it an oval look.
Here in the UK it is bank holiday most people are on holiday and the weather look like it is cooler with some sunshine a good day for cricket.
Have a great week and happy sewing.
